Ron great work. Great looking pipe. You do damn good work for a curmudgeon, MIKE

Hey Ron, meant to ask - did you fashion your own stem out of rod stock or go with a pre-made stem? And since you're a bent kinda guy (like me) why wasn't this one bent?

Nosey lil' SOB ain't I?

Cheers,

RR

Thanks guys!
Mike, just because I'm an ornery cuss doesn't mean that's all I can do.

BD, I cheated, and used a preform but, that really doesn't make it all that much easier cause if you've ever seen one before it was sanded, button opened up, polished, and a tenon cut you'd know what I mean.
The one I'm working on now has a hand cut stem and I must tell you, I hate doing them but, it's all part of getting use to it and I reckon if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. ;)

No reason really for doing a straight pipe except that it's a little easier then doing a bent. Hey, I made the damn thing Spherical, wasn't that hard enough? I'll be mak'en some bent pipes soon just trying to get the hang of straight ones first,. Baby steps my friend, baby steps, one doesn't start on top the mountain, but at it's feet.;)

Well I like straight and bent pipes so I'm not biased. :D

I think this is one heck of a pipe!
