Several years ago, somehow, I left a box of 10 pipes in my shed and they became forgotten. Mice got into them. A Castello had a spider nest in the bowl. A Ferndown had what looked like a mouse nibble in the wood. I took the whole lot to Michael La Due at Jon's Pipe Shop to be fixed up and resanitized. Here they are today - back in my rotation. The Ferndown mouse nibble was touched up and is not detectable now. These pipes are among the earliest I collected.

Here are thumbs of my "mouse pipes", and then links below to larger photos.

The bottom-most links will take you to more pipe photos and my Home Page. Enjoy!

Charles Fairmorn
I believe the German Tobacconists by this name once branded their own pipes, sourced from various European makers. This pipe is stamped Made in England.

Tinsky
The '97 Christmas had a dull finish when new. I like it better this way - waxed.

Very nice collection. Thank goodness you rescued them from the mice! I love the Tinsky 1998 and the Savinelli irc selection.

Those are nice. I managed to "lose" about 20 pipes a few years back in storage as well. They´ll turn up eventually. In AZ we have more a packrat population so they´re probably enjoying them....

Perhaps your mice and my packrats can start a pipe club or something.... the SPSR. Society of Pipe Smoking Rodents...

Those mice had good taste in pipes.(But now they're squeaky clean...)
That was cheesy,,, :p

Wow, what a great job he did on those...where is Jon's Pipe Shop?

Very nice looking set of pipes. Several in there I wouldn't mind having.

...I'd love to find a Charatan's Make Perfection in my shed...
I didn't know what a Perfection was until you mentioned it and I looked it up. Charatan has not been a target for me, though I've targeted Willmers. Info on this web page places Perfection at the low end of Charatans smooth "high-grades", with Special the next grade above that among 7-tiers of "high grades".
