My mum

It is with a heavy heart that I’m writing to tell you that my mum passed away from ovarian cancer on Friday evening in her sleep. She was at peace and felt no pain.

The funeral service will be this Friday at the same chapel her father was buried at.

I don’t think I’ll be very active for the next week, thanks one and all.

Thanks for the kind thoughts and love sent my way everyone. It is much appreciated. Christmas day here has been hard but we all feel mum watching over us so the burden has been lifted a little. Christmas was always her favourite time of year, when all the family came together to celebrate. Mum was insistent we keep it up this year, and so we are.

We laid mum to rest yesterday, it was a beautiful service she had previously planned with her minister. It was also good to hear from the attendees how much mum had helped them over time, some touching stories there.
