That's very different. Was that a commissioned pipe? Every time I visit his site there never seems to be pipes available, but a gallery of pipes he's made for others.

Yeah Paul, that was I pipe I commissioned last fall. At this point I think he is somewhere around 6+ months back on commissions. Of course that is just my guess, so if your interested in a pipe from him, your probably best e-mailing him to find out.

Interesting work. I love the broken rock layer look which probably follows some of the ring grain. The coloration is very nice. Not overly heavy. You should be very happy with it.

Jeff, I like pipes that have more wood at the bottom to absorb and dissipate the heat. I'll bet it smokes cool?
