Don't know why I miss the don't part of the wax thing, but I sure did until you told me again to not do that. I do know I bought some graphite around here for locks so should be able to do that without a pencil.

BTW Piet I got to go to South Africa back in Dec. of 1983 and we brought back some wine that back then was really a great deal, but now that stuff is high dollar. It was Premier Grand Crew I think the name is?? Good stuff! Just wish we had brought back more. Quick funny thing, the guy with me brought back some in the large plastic jugs and when his luggage started coming down the ramps back here there was a wet substance all over the place, LOL! Thank goodness I brought back bottles. Spent almost all our time in Durban and boy what a beautiful view that was. Side note again...flew in on South African Airlines and had one of the best meals I ever had on that flight and I don't just mean good meals in air planes. It was Springbok with Game sauce and the most tinder wonderful meat I ever had!

Wish I was coming back for a visit this time. Last time it was business, but man it was a very nice trip since someone was paying our way. First class all the way and riding in the bubble of the 747 back then was absolutely great. All the ever4ytihing you could want. Heck there are 2 versions of a 747 and one has 14 seats up there and the other has 17 and we had two waiting on us the entire time. One taking orders and bringing it back and the other cooking or what ever.

I would have loved to take a bit more of the country in and made it to Cape Town as well as a bit more inland than Durban, but still an awesome trip and lots of fun and great food. Only bad food was a steak first night, didn't have any more of that is was all Lobster and (SP)Langoustines, no way I can spell them for sure, but really long shrimp cut open and served over rice. Love that food!

It was holiday season so we had to take the long road so to speak. We left Corpus to Dallas and then to Frankfurt, then on to South Africa which then was a 17 hour leg with one fuel stop in the middle of no place. The entire trip was 36 hours and only 6 of that on the ground.

I remember that so well!
