Today I got my tobacco. 1 pouch of Carter Hall, Prince Albert, and G&H Brown Bogie.

I've heard so much about PA and CH but my local stores don't carry them and no one I know has any for sampling. I'm also sampling, for the first time, a rope just the way our brethren of old used to smoke (or chew)

since I'm at work I have to wait till after work and school tonight. Quite frankly I'm so overly anxious that I fear I will be greatly disappointed. But I will lavish this feeling for as long as I can, for at this moment the anticipation is more rewardig than the experience itself.

PA & CH are not spectacular smokes so don't get too excited. However they are both good reliable smokes and satisfying.

CH was my starter baccy and I still smoke it today. It's a one dimensional, straight forward blend that does not require a lot of attention. Enjoy :)

About 30 seconds after you light that rope there will be a scream
from your wife,brace yourself. :affraid:

LMAO. He'll be so wasted on vitamin N he won't hear it.

So I've tried the 3 blends and here is what I've gotten so far.

Carter Hall is good, not TOO sweet but still very mellow
Prince Albert is better, very smooth and doesn't bite

Brown Bogie...THIS was a tough one to smoke. I've read about how to smoke these but a slice fit perfectly in my bowl that I just stuffed it in and lit away. Next time I might just chop it up. As for the smoke itself, it was indeed STRONG. I got SOO dizzy after a bit that I almost felt sick. Nonetheless, I liked it, and may just have to get more and see how well it ages. Until then I have a few more bowls left and will if other methods to smoke will yield even better results.

Just go slowly on the bogie at first. Like you were sipping straight scotch on the rocks or something.
