Which one to try first?

Haven't tried any of these yet. First straight Va's for me.

Sip slow and enjoy,  hot box it and your mouth will feel like you had a slice of pizza right out of the oven.

Yep. Tried the Amphora Va. Like the reviews say, "sharp" and "bright". Sweet, but a little rough. Definitely not smooth like the burley codger blends I'm used to. Not bad, but different.

I like my Va with a little perique. Aged Escudo rules.

Noticed something interesting about the description on the tin of the Orlik Golden Sliced. On tobaccoreviews they go back and forth about whether there is perique in it or not. The tin description originally mentioned some burley, then at some time it was changed to perique.

This new tin, dated September 2019 from STG, has this description that mentions neither burley nor perique.

"A mixture of golden, mature Virginia tobaccos from the traditional tobacco districts in eastern USA.
The tobacco is pressed into cakes and matures during storage before it is processed into cut cakes.
This blend has the natural sweet flavour and freshness of the finest Virginia tobaccos.
 

 Aroma: Fresh citrus and orange notes.​

   

  Cut: Flake."​

Can't say I've really noticed p-weed in OGS. If it's there it's subtle. I find it very tangy with a lot of bright notes, and slightly sweetish. Mild -moderate nic-kick.

The Amphora Ginnyweed is OK, a better smoke than I expected. I doubt it’ll ever be a big fav for me. No comment on the HH Pure Ginnyweed, never had it. Happy Thanksgiving to each and all. FTRPLT

Well, you guys were right.

Loaded up my "Va/per pipe" (an old 1970's era Grabow Golden Duke I got unsmoked a few years back. Laugh, but it serves it's purpose quite well) with some rubbed out OGS.

Sweet and smooth, from first light to the bottom of the bowl.

I am impressed.
