Greetings and thank you for allowing me to be on this forum. I am new so please bare with my unprofessionalism as to web navigation and proper form. I will get better I hope. I suppose my first query would be what is everyone smoking for the new year in time? Me? I virginia burley a friend presented to me today. My usual brand for every day is Sir Walter Raleigh. I have been smoking that for 15 years I guess. Let me know what you think.

Welcome to the forum! I've never tried Sir Walter Raleigh so I can't say. However, there's so many different tobaccos and so little time to try them all. I usually smoke Key Largo and Maltese Falcon (both with latakia) by G.L.Pease. For a change of pace, I smoke a Dunhill black cavendish which is radically different from the other two.

Welcome to the forum.. just finished a bowl of Magnus Falkum #1.. one of my favorites...

enjoy your stay.. less than an hour to new year here.. so happy new year...

That's a cool pipe you're smoking in your picture.

Gotta go. Be back as soon as I can. This a very interesting web site. Like belonging to a mens club but without the dues and hassel. Later

Welcome, timgoodwin. Sir Walter Raleigh, eh? Interesting. It was never one of my favorites, but a friend of mine's father, a transplanted Englishman (to the U.S.), smoked nothing but SWR in a bent billiard, even when mowing the lawn with a push mower. I can still see him, puffing away contentedly. I cannot picture him in my mind without the pipe. Strange. Anyhow, I just finished a bowl of Cornell & Diehl's Epiphany in a meerschaum, one of my favorite combos. Happy New Year to ya', and enjoy the site. There's a lot here.

Yeah ! Welcome aboard :D
I didnt think you were really going to find this site.
( for those that dont know, Tims a pal of mine from down the road)

:D Good to see you here Buddy ! and you are right , it is like a mens club... but I think there are a few Lady's on board too.
Anyhow, these Brothers of Briar sure are a good bunch ! I am sure you will enjoy this forum.

Happy New Year !

Dusty

Welcome Tim! Sir Walter Raleigh in a cob is hard to beat when walking in the woods or late night cat fishing. I like the original and the aromatic.

Welcome, Tim! I guess I'll be smoking Altadis' Revelation Match, since that's all I have in the apartment (all the rest is at my office, which is closed until Tuesday)
