I like Kaywoodie's. I have several. Next time I get a new one that is coated, I am going to lightly sand the bowl coating out. I may have been able to taste it in one I have. Maybe not. It's still a good smoker and builds cake very fast.

How do you find the Kaywoodies smoke with the stingers? What's the relationship between Grabow, Linkman's and Kaywoodie?
I have an old Linkmans (I think) churchwarden that's probably quite old. It was my Grandfather's. It has a small bowl, kind of like a prince, with a stinger. I've only smoked it once or twice. Neat pipe.
