Wow Falconer, never realized we looked that much alike.

Thanks again for the great welcome!

I have been eying a couple of pipes, but it's hard on line. However I am thinking as long as I know the brand some it should be alright. One is a Peterson and the other a Savinelli Tundra Smooth and told the wife they look like a good Christmas present to me, LOL!

Thanks on the man cave complements. I had bypass surgery in 2000 and for some reason having to do with what I believe is being on that heart pump for a time, it has some things going on in your brain. I had been a successful stock trader for about 15 years and after that I didn't even want to for about a year and then when I did I still knew what to do, but wouldn't do it. So I quit and then since I am somewhat disabled I can fish all day and was not going to watch TV all day so started tying crappie jigs. People started asking if I would sell some so I did. Here I am 4 1/2 years later so busy tying I can't keep up and I hardly ever take any money out and all goes into materials. So after all this time I have a really nice supply of materials for tying and buy most wholesale so sometimes will order things for others starting out tying and help them learn how to tie.

I am a mod on the jig tying board at crappie.com and we have something like 9600 members there so I have lots of things to do and most of the time too much, LOL!

I feel sure that I will enjoy this board a lot, have tried another one, but just too restrictive and don't like that much. I have been a mod on several boards for almost 15 years now and lots of that was a Cowboys board where lots of flame wars were going on. So understand how important it is to keep these boards clean. I do like the layout and feel of this board and so far the guys on here are just great!

Thanks all,
Skip

Hey Skip,

Welcome to Bob. Always nice to have a fellow East Texan on board. All of us grew up in Buna and I lived in Kirbyville a good while until I moved back to Central Texas. My Aunt taught English in Hemphill High School and my Uncle was the Methodist minister there for years and years.
