You're going to find sand pit or two (or seven) on nearly any smooth pipe if you look hard enough for them.

Thanks guys! I'm really satisfied with the both of em and I haven't even had the chance to smoke em yet!
As for the tiny pit on the Stanwell Could I fill it as any other furniture pit with some beeswax or carnuba wax? Or should I just suck it up and deal with it? I'v decided to keep it either way rather than deal with the hassle of mailing and more importantly the excruciating wait!! :affraid:

you are right you may get a pipe back with putty.
Wax the sucker!!!! and smoke it!!!!

it's like anything, one morning you're going to wake up and your dog will have chewed on it all night, or your kid will have used it as a hammer, or your wife will have run the vacuum over it. if it smokes good, keep it!
