Just found the AR lowers I have been looking for for the longest time....yay. I'll order a couple lowers come payday and then work on getting the rest of the parts.
Congrats on the new "members" of your family. Nice collection for sure. I'm a Sig man but I've shot some Glocks and like them as well. My gun "collection" is rather modest by comparison, consisting of one Sig 9mm (SP2022) and one Sig AR (M400 Enhanced), and right now I'm simply trying to stock up on ammo for each in case there comes a SHTF moment.
Welp, I picked up 2 of the lowers I wanted. Also picked up a complete AR kit. Now I just need say 5 more lowers and 6 more kits and I will be content for a while. Needless to say I am giddy like a freaking school girl right now.
Welp my Grim Reaper lowers made it to my dealer already, so I went ahead and bought 2 zombie AR lowers as well. Also grabbed a Colt LE6900 AR, an Savage Axis XO in .243, an UZI parts kit, and to change things up I bought myself a new PSE Ralley Bow since my ex done sold off my old PSE bow. If my dealer still has the Springfield XDs in stock that'll be mine too once the shop opens up.
No, no bomb shelter. I don't have that many guns jeesh. One of my ex-girlfriends dads had far more than I do, I like that guy we got along great. Wasn't the whole "I'm her dad and I have guns" it was more "I'm her dad let me share my guns with you" kinda deal.
This is my new toy. 1976 Marlin 39a. Got her for a real deal with a broken stock. Some one shut a gun safe door on the poor thing. Been sitting around with no love and getting rusty. So I show up and take her home. Find a stock set on armslist. Refinish the stock set I got. Took 0000 steel wool to the metal. Refished the blueing with Oxpho cold blue from Brownells. Now she a jewel again. and mine now. I know its not a evil black rifle. But its one of the best 22s made.
Yeah, I'm partial to those 39As myself. I loaned mine to a friend and his wife threw all his guns in the river when they split up. My 39A was among them. They're great shooters, congratulations on a nice job,,,enjoy
Thanks guys. I have a bad case of marlinitis. I have three in the lever guns, and three in auto loading, and one bolt action. 45-70, 30-30, and 22s. In this picture its short one 22 that is currently a project also.
Yep we got the bug bad. I ran across another marlin the other day and had to give it a good home. Its acually a glennfield which was marlins sears brand. She looked like she has only been shot maybe a couple times and sat in a safe . looked to good to pass for a 37 year old rifle.
Buy the way I did have a original 336 stock that to me looked better than the birch glenfield stock. It fit perfect and matched the fore arm. Shes the one far right
Drool and applause for what I am seeing. With a bit of age, I am letting go instead of adding on. Although, that Springfield Armory XDS was tempting and I have a ton of ammo loaded for my heavy-slide National match. Seemed a bit awkward to handle though and I stuck with my Mod 19 for a carry gun. Yeah, old goat packing a wheel gun.
I just sold a Ruger Hawkeye in .256. That is their single shot pistol from the 60's for varmint plinking. Might next let go of a Remington over/under trap with Herb Orr chokes and custom Antoine wood next. Problem with that was I have a left master eye and shot trap lefty.
I haven't been in the gun stores for a number of years. When I went to a local shop to sell the Ruger, HOLY CRAP! are prices these days out of sight. Talk about inflation! I used to burn a lot of ammo. I see that Home security has bought up much of the existing handgun stock and is being investigated by Congress over that. But still, with PAD and TAD that doesn't leave a lot of room for GAD.
