Hey Fellow Pipe Smokers!

I've recently jumped headlong into pipe smoking after having a short affair with cigars and a long history as a young man with things that young men smoke. I can't tell you how interesting it is to find such community around a thing like pipe smoking.

The first pipe I smoked I bought off Ebay, it's a GBD 1/4 bent volcanoe shaped Tapestry... and I now have an Irish Second Peterson coming from England. I'm learning the ropes about cleaning and reaming, and hope to learn new ways to enjoy this age old hobby.

In regard to my personal life, I'm a new father of a 9 month old little girl and I've recently published my first book on Christian Spirituality.

I am a newbe, so I may make some newbe mistakes on here, forgive me. And thanks for making room for me.

Hello and welcome from a fellow North Carolinian! My wife and I live in Greensboro. I've been into pipes since around 1990, and officially got into it as my business in '98. If you ever get out this way, give me a shout and we can have a smoke at Pipe & Pint, the local Gbo pipes/cigars/microbrews shop - They've got a cool smoking room in back. Welcome to the pipe world, and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions, I remember well how it was all pretty dizzying at first.
