Ah , the manifold qualities of wool - somewhat fire retardant, insulates even when wet, bacteriostatic, sweat absorbing, list goes on...
Same here. Wifey doesn't like me smoking indoors so it's either outdoors or in the garage nook if really cold outside. I actually enjoy smoking on the patio. Get to watch the birds and bunnies, the occasional road runner, and very rarely a deer or coyote. Since I haven't had a bowl in over 3 months, it doesn't really matter at this point. Starting chemo again in a couple of weeks. Hopefully this will be the last of it and I will be able to pipe again in another couple of months. Keeping fingers crossed. Following you guys helps as I can enjoy vicariously reading your posts. Have a great day my friends.
I'm way over having to go outside. I enjoy walking and smoking my pipe. But that's weather dependent.I'm strictly an outdoors piper myself. Last winter, it got way down below 32 F, but once I bundled up with plenty of wool (a Goodwill wool sweater on the outer in case of burns), it was really nice in the sun. It almost seemed that all my senses were heightened.
I can't wait to sit and smoke a bowl with you when this is all over. Zoom has uses far beyond work. You'll be in my thoughts until this is over.Same here.
