At least not this weekend. I just finished helping my son finish his Eagle Scout Project.

His project was to fix up a defunct butterfly garden at his old middle school.

Here is what it looked like two weeks ago:

And here is what it looks like now:

And the crew. My son is the one with the thumbs up sign :D

(In case you can't tell, I'm awful proud of him.)

Looks great, very nice dedication, and looks like it's for a wonderful cause.

You Sir have reason to be proud. Pipe Carving can wait, things like this are much more important in life. These are memories that all involved will have with them for life. You can't put a price on quality times like this, Brother!

That's fantastic! What a great Eagle Scout project. You deserve to be proud of a boy who's willing to put some sweat into a project for someone else. Well done!

There is nothing better than standing over a a completed project after a long day of sweat and hard effort. Congrats to your son and his comrades.

Thanks for sharing! It's always great to hear some good news and I hope the local news media gave it some nice coverage.

Thanks guys!

I consider myself very fortunate because I have such good kids.

I highly recommend scouting for boys between the ages of 6 and 18. It is a great program.

Looks great! And congratulations on finishing the project.

IIRC, that just leaves the board-of-review, if he hasn't wrapped it up already. So when is his Eagle Court of Honor? 8)

Don't rush me! I haven't even started planning it yet.
