involuntary urge to void your bowels when you drop your...$400 pipe

I'm thinking that adding an eye and lanyard system to those pipes would be a good idea.

Note Boswell 'Fishing Pipe' below:

And I'm lovin' this Radice with a pivoting cap and lanyard:

Blackhorse, I had seen the Boswell sportsman edition pipes, but I had not seen a Radice of similar design. That baby kicks a$$!

Ocelot, now that you are convinced, do yourself a huge favor and get yourself a Walker's Briar Works Forever Stem as Kaiser suggests. It will be interchangeable with all your cobs, so you really only need to invest in one or two stems. It will relieve most of the tongue bite issues associated with cheaper quality stems.

Here are a couple of new cobs I am breaking in using George's forever stems. Behold the glory of the cob! Lol

Dutch, what is this cob shape called? I don't own a cob yet, but that shape and all this talk makes me want to get a few.

Abe

Abe, that one is called a "Great Dane," just like the canine.

I particularly like this shape, as it has a nice thick wall, and a hardwood plug in the bottom. I usually make pipe mud for this pipe, using cigar ash. This will guarantee your hardwood plug will never burn out, because it will never come in contact with direct fire inside the bowl.

I LOVE it! A Dunhill cob...courtesy of the 'forever stem' by Walkers!

I got a couple of the "special edition" forever stems that fit the Freestyle MM. They have the lucite swirl collar up at the shank end and look very swanky. When I carve a pipe out of Maple, etc. I try to do the shank so that it takes the same size as the MM's so I can buy $1 bits. The forever stems work for them as well, being the same size. nice.
