The only cigs I have tried that were remotely bearable are lucky strikes and american spirits perique. They never hit me hard.

UN-Filtered Lucky's or the new filtered versions? Un-Filtered Camels did not have much nic hit as the Lucky's did and they not as much as the Pall-Malls or Dunhills

I'm a nic-wimp for sure. A few months ago, I decided that I just didn't like feeling nauseous and smoking those blends wasn't enjoyable. So, now I just avoid those blends. (FVF, Old Dublin, almost any SG blend...) I'll stick with my mild English blends.

Unfiltered Lucky Strikes were my go-to smoke as a teen. That and Sampoerna Xtra cloves. I wonder how I can still breathe. :lol: 8)

They are, but they ain't the same (or I have better taste now... :lol. Sampoerna "regular" (red/gold box) are around, Xtras (Black/Red box w/ gold pentacle) are gone. Djarum Blacks are, Djarum "regular" (tan/white box) are, Djarum Super (green/blue box) are gone...

...s'been a while. Sometimes if I'm out and someone has a pack I'll bum one and puff on it, just for the smell and taste. 8)

Smoking a clove would really bring me back, that's for sure. Wearing Wayfarers with the Oxford button down shirt and smoking cloves, lol. So very 80's. The ones I remember came in a flat, red tin. They would explode when you smoked them from time to time too. Some twig in there would hiss and pop. Oh the memories... 8)

Those are the clove sticks themselves, man! They're filled with oil, moisture and would blow the damn cherry out of the lit cigarette sometimes! :lol: That was part of the fun!

Yeah I was a quasi-goth-industrial kid when I started hitting puberty, so the leftover 80s kids taught us teens that just came-of-age in the early 90s what was up. Interesting times.

If you want a major hit of nic, try some Indian Beedi's. I worked with a guy from Delhi years ago and he smoked them amd I would bum one off him occasionally to just get the buzz. They taste lousy and are hard to keep lit but you will get a buz

I've tried Bidis (BDs, Beedis, beedees, etc) before, but they indeed tasted awful and I never got much from 'em. Must have been "export quality." :lol: 8)

They have more nic in 'em than the highest US brand which is Newports! Those damn things have 2.4 mg of nic per cig :face: It's no wonder all those old ladies at the hairdressers smoke 'em
