I like the pipe. Red Stagg on the rocks one of my favorites. I finally get my tax refund after waiting six weeks Wednesday. I'm trying to justify a new pipe and some tobacco. Problem is in truth I probably have enough of both. Another Poker or Meerschaum? Some tobacco I haven't tried yet?
Definitely think you should get another poker. After all, you don't have that many,,lol.

Saw a rather nice looking Nording hand made Extra plateau top on ebay this am. Bid is at $117. Thinking about bidding. What say you guys? Anybody have one? Could use input, SOON, as bid closes in 2 hours.

Nope, bid jumped up to $130 and one guy had bid 3 times so figured he would keep raising it. It was a beautiful pipe, straight grain, blue acrylic stem. But the bowl was smaller than I wanted, as I have been trying to get some larger bowled pipes. Then I saw a couple on smokingpipes.com that I liked better and they were only $20 more, so plan to get one of those. They are Nording freehand extra. A pretty high grade pipe, especially the #1s.

I'm probably nuts but just made an offer of $100 on a Molina zebrano giant. Big pipe, like I want, really nice grain, good looking pipe. Dealer wanted $130 but told him that was way out of line for a Molina, even one that nice. I really like the pipe but just could not justify $130. Even $100 is a bit high but given that I really like the pipe was willing to go a bit more. Will see if he accepts. If not guess I will keep looking. Just bought a Molina oversized brandy for $50 so don't see this one being worth more than $100.

Good morning, I have been following ranger107 `s journey here,I was thinking to myself...I don`t think I have a Molina pipe, started snooping around on E-bay and Bam, Some lady had just posted a vintage Molina 80994 with a BUY IT NOW of 22+5 shipping, did 5 minutes research and grabbed it ! looks to be in great shape too.I am running out of room here!
I am in the process of making a pipe rack out an old wooden medicine chest....It`s something I thought up after searching for months on E bay for a reasonably priced pipe rack .It`s still a work in progress,But I think it will work out when finished.blessed day to all!

EZ, pretty sure you will like it. The one I got from Brunello, a 1/4 bent rhodesian, smokes great. I scored a 1/2 bent oversized brandy for $40. Should be here this week. I wanted the giant Zebrano because I like a big pipe for morning burley, but the seller would not come down from $130 and I felt that was too high. You can get new regular sized Molinas on ebay for 50/60 bucks. May just go with one of those. Enjoy.

Well, after seeing posts from Niblick and Vajda I bid on a vintage Mountbatten on ebay. Very similar to the one Niblick posted earlier. Bid was only at $18. I bid $19 with a high of $25. Then wife called me for dinner. When I went back it had sold for $34. I don't know what Mountbattens go for but based on Nib and Vajdas posts figured it had to be worth $25. If I could have gotten it for $35 is that a good deal?

I would say that if the stem can be restored without resorting to filling deep bite marks and the top is in easily restorable shape with little inside bowl wear... then yes. If it's a shape you're wanting with the chamber dimensions close enough to your specs then pull the trigger.

It was a large straight dublin like the one you posted. Appeared to be in very decent shape. I would have gone to $35 but was too late. Saw several others I am watching but this was the cheapest by far. Most were in the $50 to $75 range.

A bit jealous of you guys, especially Jiminks, with all of your older "classic" pipes. My own fault for selling off my collection of older pipes, mostly from the 70's and 80's, Comoys, Sasienis, GBDs, etc. back in 2016. So now looking ay older pipes on ebay. Was following 2 on ebay yesterday, a 4 dot Sasieni straight dublin and a vintage Pete straight billiard. Unfortunately both went higher than my max bid but I will keep looking. Maybe I will get lucky one of these days, lol.

Ranger,
E-bay is funny like that, sometimes I can`t win anything for weeks, and there`s other times where the wife is calling for an intervention! I just scored another Bari Wiking Freehand. There are about 9 more there on e-bay,all seem to be in good shape. Most of the good ones are going for about 100$ which seems high to some, but these are handmade pipes that are built to last. Smoking the the Lestrade with some Casey Jones.

Looking at several on ebay. One, a 93 Comoy Xmas pipe. I can buy it now for $57. Appreciate advice on if this is a good deal. Also looking at a Sasieni dublin, right now at $28 but sure it will go higher. Last is a Charaton select. Beautiful pipe currently at $175. I would go $250 on this if I can get it. Better than the last one that went for$235.

Hi guys, looking at a Mountbatten ROYAL on Ebay. I'm not that familiar with their series. Is this a decent pipe? Appears to be in very good condition. Can buy now for $45. Do you guys who have Mountbattens think this is a good deal? Is the Royal a good pipe? Thanks,

Well EZ you were right, lol. Besides the new Sav 606EX, in the last few days I scored a Comoys 93 Xmas pipe, a large straight billiard, a NOS vintage Sasieni Ruff Root 4 dot semi bent billiard, and a vintage Mountbatten Royal bent pot with amber stem. Wife would be calling for an intervention but I usually get to the mail and unbox them before she sees them, lol. Pics to follow later.

I like Petes even if I'm not enamored with the one I want to trade. Thinking if getting a Milverton. Really like that shape. Just wish they made it in a fishtail as I'm not partial to the Plip. But may get it anyway. If I really like it which is likely maybe have Tim West replace it with a fishtail.

My pipe situation has gone to a whole new level... Wife and I had the talk a couple of nights ago ! So now I have enlisted my daughter in purchasing my pipes on her account ! she sneaks them in with her in my grandsons diaper bag when she makes her weekly visit and I give her cash! LOL!
I am looking to buy a new Pete Watson pipe,But I may have to buy another Lestrade because I don`t own anything resembling the Watson, she wont notice that I have 2 Lestrade pipes...
