Anyone else use Pandora? It's a unique web radio program where you can dial in very specific music types by starting with a theme, and then as you give thumbs up or thumbs down to specific songs, the program begins offering music based on what you like or don't like. It's pretty cool stuff. You can play with it and end up hearing music you love but never even knew existed.

A channel of piano music I created through fine tuning (for my taste) - http://www.pandora.com/?sc=sh48482930950286505

I love pandora, I used to listen to it at work all the time.

tried it for a couple of months, but what they consider is comparable music- is not. I seem to click "not like" more than the keeper songs.

I listen to Pandora off and on, not much recently. I honestly don't listen to near as much music as I used to. Find it distracting now when I work, and in the car it is all XM.

Listen to pandora constantly Wmhile on the computer. Love making my own stations and music that you dont get to enjoy on regular fm radio. Trace Bundy is my new favorite station.

I used to listen to Pandora while I was sitting at my desk (which wasn't all that often!) until the "Gooberment" blocked all streaming feeds. I can't listen to music or pull videos. :x The loss of videos kills me! I used a lot of them in training presentations..................Oh well.

I like it, found a lot of new bands I'd never heard of that I liked. I know one guy at my work has his smartphone on it once we close so he can listen to music he likes.

Thanks for posting this PD. I just got a smart phone and it is a free app on it. I have been curious as to what it was so now I know. I may have to get it to try it out. I wont be able to to click on like or dislike at work though.

Play with it some before work with likes and dislikes so it has an idea of what you like.

Thanks HD. I guess that would be a great idea to do. That way I have kid rock playing then barry manolow comes on after that.

Pandora is cool, the major drawbacks to me were the limited # of songs you can play per month (40hours or some such I think), and limited number of songs you can skip.

We started using Grooveshark instead and like it much better...unlimited play as far as I know and skip as much as you want. You can set it to play just stuff from a particular artist or set it to play a "radio station" of stuff similar to that artist. It does everything pandora does pretty much, only better and with a couple other things besides. The main drawback to me was that it isn't quite as pretty, intuitive and simple an interface as pandora, which really isn't that big of a deal at all.

Never heard of it, Frost. But I'll have to check that out. Not being able to skip songs can really suck sometimes.

LOL...

I have the piano channel v2008 or v2009... its what got me started on it..

I also have
'Old Hippie" Old Outlaw Country
"Love Song" Late 80's early 90's rock
"TWOTEF" 60's and 70's rock
"No Woman No Cry" Bob M and Jimmy B type stuff.
iIhave some others that I started but never tuned..

They are mostly tuned to never play something I don't like..

I have a Pandora app on my ipod touch... haven't used it much. I'll give it a second go.

I primarily use itunes radio as my main one at home.

I have pandora on my Droid and I love it. I like that it goes deep into catalogs and plays live stuff and songs that weren't singles. Think I had 9gigs of data transfer on my phone last month. Good thing I have unlimited data.

yep i have my very own franky sinatra channel.

no streaming at work now, gonna have to buy a cd player for the office now i think. come to think of it, maybe a peterson ashtray?
