If it were me, I would jar the 8oz bag for aging, and smoke at least one of the tins right now.Guyrox":l5mscue4 said:Rob, I will. But it'll be in a while as I suspect these babies will need some aging on them before I crack one open. I just don't know if I will have the discipline.
Sell it for $100 and buy stuff you will smoke. That's probably an exaggeration. You could get $50 I'm sure.Hermit":2tz8wpsc said:I have a tin I bought seven years ago that I'll prolly never smoke.
I lost my taste for Latakia and it hasn't come back.
Here too. Pretty much all the Latakia I've opened over the the last few years has ended up drying up to dust in the tin. It's a shame, because I used to really love the stuff.Hermit":d47v9eux said:I have a tin I bought seven years ago that I'll prolly never smoke.

Juan I noticed a whole back on your profile you don't like latakia much. you don't care for commonwealth either?juanmedusa":rjze682u said:One of the local b&m shops gets in tinned Penzance. I bought them out once but only got through a tin. Good stuff but I'm not much of a Latakia guy. What I can get through in terms of latakia has more to do with my idiosyncrasies than quality. Imho, all Esoterica tobaccos are of fine quality. It's just a matter of finding your taste. Congrats, enjoy.
Me too, thanks.juanmedusa":7f6as1wd said:I like Key Largo which contains latakia.

I can sample a latakia blend and enjoy it, I just don't have enough interest to finish a tin before it dries out. The new glaring exception is MacBaren HH Vintage Syrian. Eklektos sent me some of that and it just hit me right and I smoked right through it without fatigue.
Give commonwealth a try. I know you like lakelands so if you haven't tried squadron leader that and commonwealth are tops. GH balkan mix is good too but different...way more salty. I love commonwealth it's gotta be the best latakia blend everjuanmedusa":h9lnet3n said:Never had it. I have a couple to try at home including aged Perfection.
