Pipe Dedicaton

[Slow Puffs]

The older I get the more I think certain pipes just match a blend in a magical way.

I'm suggesting, not generalities, but a specific pipe that you have dedicated for one blend.

I have an LB Dunhill that smokes wonders with Dunbar.

A Brigham President that smokes wonders with University Flake.

I have a Dunhill dedicated to Telegraph Hill.

What are some of your pipes dedicated to one blend?

I've got a yakslon rhodesian that is dedicated to Escudo. The smallish bowl works perfectly with the tobacco coins and the pipe seems to bring out the flavor very well.

Also a Pete billiard that if I reach for whenever i want Chelsea Morning.

It sure is nice when you find a pipe that does wonders for a certain blend. Here are a few of mine that are solely dedicated to a certain blend--

To me this is the grail of pipe smoking, the magical combination. I keep seeking them. Every so often I find them.

GH Best Brown #2 in a Pete Supreme 1s

Some are good. The ones above are great.

The only dedicated pipe I have is at the blue-collar end of the spectrum: an old Dr. Grabow Westbrook paired with Granger Rough Cut.

A Root Briar Dunhill Billiard I have smokes Dunhill Light Flake better than any other pipe I own, and I've dedicated it to that blend (only 7 tins remain in my cellar) pretty much exclusively.
