Got any favored pistols?

My Top 3 Semi-Autos

Springfield 1911. I've owned 2 of these. The only 'customization' I ever did was put on an ambidextrious safety. Both would group close enough at 50 yrd to be 'combat effective' straight out of the box with fixed sights and milsurp ball.

Browning Hi-power... Great little gun... I always carried them without one in the tube. For whatever reason I never put an ambi safety on mine..

And my absolute favorite, and it will shock some of you.

CZ 85. Maybe the best all around semi-auto I ever owned. Came out of the box with the ability to group with most rifles at 100yrds. Safe to carry cocked n locked or DA/SA... The only complaint I could ever come up with? It has that European style mag catch that prevents drop and swap mag changes....but then again that only happens in the movies or on uncle Sugers buck...mags are to expensive to let 'em slap mother earth...

Honerable mention : Russian Tokerov chambered in 7.62x25... The pistol sucks, the cartridhe kicks butt! ( A pistol round that defeats body armor...how novel)

My 3 favored wheel guns aren't all that suprising.

S&W 686 4 in bbl... Nuff said.

S&W 625 5 in bbl... I love the speed of a full moon clip.. Their frikkin fast. Big bullets, fast reloads, accurate... The only problem is its size. Its only a good carry gun if you plan on everyone seeing that you are carrying. S&W N frames are BIG.

S&W Chiefs special... Don't go trying to shoot a compitition with this tiny shooter.. But great for slipping in a wasteband. I had one of those clips you put on under the grips that allowed you to hook your pantsline, forgot who made it

I don't own any of these anymore.... All I have now is an airsoft rubber pellet gun and a real dull Rambo survival knife from the 80's.. Both of which I would gladly hand over to any Government Official if they ever become outlawed. :D :D :D

I always wanted a Browning Hi-Power.

My all time favorite is a Ruger Blackhawk in .357 Mag. 6 1/2" barrel. But I always wanted to have it cut down to about 5" or 5 1/4". I had a Blackhawk in .45 Long Colt with the 4 5/8" barrel, but found it a bit short for my liking.

I suppose Walker .44 black powders should be listed and Colt .36. I shot a lot of black powder through them.

I had forgotton about the Blackhawk.

I had one in .357 with the 5 and whatever funky fraction in bbl...

I can't even recollect now why I traded it way back when...probably just got tired of it. I used to trade guns quite a bit.... That all came to an end when they put the waiting period in...course now that they've went to the insta check and out the door I suppose I could get back into it...but they took all the fun out of it.

My carry weapon of choice is a Sig Saur Equinox 229 .40.

My favorite is my Kimber 1911 10mm.

I also have a glock 23 in 40 cal with a .357 sig barrel; I wear this when I am wearing shorts with no belt in an inside the pants Bianchi holster.

I've always wanted a dessert eagle.

My all time favorite pistol I ever owned was a H&K P7M8. It was an amazing piece of engineering. After that was the Sig 228 which I don't think they make anymore. Always loved 1911's, the nicer the better.

Now mind you I'm not knockin your gun TO.... Just wantin to pick your brain a bit....

Why bother with the .357 SigSaur?

It was supposed to put an end to the .357 Mag in a autoloader problem but really doesn't, least not from what I've seen (Ayoob,Geliten Test, Eyeballs)... Penetrates like a beast (but that's not always a good thing) but otherwise very close to the .40. Higher pressure to, but I guess unless you plan on shooting your pistol 50-60k times its not enough of a diff to tell :D :D. .... I may be missing a whole lot, what sold you on it?

Americans and their toys.
I'll stick to my pipes. The worst thing I could do with those is throw them at somebody. :)

Happy puffin', guys.

I?
It's a .357 sig, which is different than mag. I got mine because I could. I figure it's like having 2 guns in one. If you're a gun lover, you like to have different calibers. I usually target shoot with the .40 barrel but carry the .357 barrel in it. Basically, a necked down .40, which is a necked down 10mm.

I like hot rounds. To me it's fun to shoot, but the rounds are too expensive for me to shoot around with.

Hope this answeres your question. I still think 10mm are some of the best rounds out there, and you can shoot .40 calibers out of your 10mm guns.

How do people in Beligium protect their wifes n daughters from getting raped?

Or their house from getting robbed?

Or themselves from being strongarmed by a group of thugs?

:D

TO: I knew what it was. It was designed to try and replicate a 357 mag, much the way the 38 Super was... Neither are quite there....

I can buy the argument of 'because I could'. :D good lord knows I've done that one a time or three...

Here's a neat trick for ya...

Get 8 or 10 old phone books and soak 'em real good... Shoot that 10mm and that .357 s I g. (Blackberry won't let me put the letters together without posting my phone number for some reason) into them... I bet you'll be suprised at which penetrates further.

I like .38 supers too, but the rounds are expensive. I'd really like to have a .38 super 1911 or Sig.

We're not allowed to have guns. The result of this policy is that we have a lot less murders, violent robberies and gun related violence.
Not bad, isn't it? You should try it.

That's too bad because I'm willing to bet the bad guys have guns there... Here theyve armed the good guys.

And still we've way less gun related crime! So what's the use of having firearms? Does the good guys posessing guns stop the criminals? Don't think so.

I guess the best shooting, most accurate pistola I ever owned was a S&W .44 Magnum Stainless with a 6" (i think) bbl. 20 years ago it cost .50 a pop to shoot, not sure what it would cost now. I sold it a long time ago after a long layoff created the need for cash.

The real question being if you dislike firearms why stroll into a firearms discusion with that holier than thou BS....

About like walking into a bar, ordering coffee and lecturing the other patrons on the 'evils of drink'
