Got any favored pistols?
My Top 3 Semi-Autos
Springfield 1911. I've owned 2 of these. The only 'customization' I ever did was put on an ambidextrious safety. Both would group close enough at 50 yrd to be 'combat effective' straight out of the box with fixed sights and milsurp ball.
Browning Hi-power... Great little gun... I always carried them without one in the tube. For whatever reason I never put an ambi safety on mine..
And my absolute favorite, and it will shock some of you.
CZ 85. Maybe the best all around semi-auto I ever owned. Came out of the box with the ability to group with most rifles at 100yrds. Safe to carry cocked n locked or DA/SA... The only complaint I could ever come up with? It has that European style mag catch that prevents drop and swap mag changes....but then again that only happens in the movies or on uncle Sugers buck...mags are to expensive to let 'em slap mother earth...
Honerable mention : Russian Tokerov chambered in 7.62x25... The pistol sucks, the cartridhe kicks butt! ( A pistol round that defeats body armor...how novel)
My 3 favored wheel guns aren't all that suprising.
S&W 686 4 in bbl... Nuff said.
S&W 625 5 in bbl... I love the speed of a full moon clip.. Their frikkin fast. Big bullets, fast reloads, accurate... The only problem is its size. Its only a good carry gun if you plan on everyone seeing that you are carrying. S&W N frames are BIG.
S&W Chiefs special... Don't go trying to shoot a compitition with this tiny shooter.. But great for slipping in a wasteband. I had one of those clips you put on under the grips that allowed you to hook your pantsline, forgot who made it
I don't own any of these anymore.... All I have now is an airsoft rubber pellet gun and a real dull Rambo survival knife from the 80's.. Both of which I would gladly hand over to any Government Official if they ever become outlawed.
