er...process? blend? I know. I probably wouldn't share them either, but for all of us who want to ask, I'll be the jerk and ask.

Nice looking pucks! They can get pretty hard if you slightly case the tobacco, warm it a touch and then leave it pressed for a week or two.

Thanks for the recipe and notes! Very kind and generous of you.

Put Sutliff 515 RC-1 in the noodle press to make a 50g plug for 14 days.  This is pretty amazing stuff.  Like smoking French Pastry with dark fruit preserves.
I can almost smell and taste it from here!

Aging in your pasta press, do you use heat? I was wondering if one of those hot/heated rocks they use for amphibious pets would add anything to the process. I don't know if they produce enough warmth to do a darn thing or not. Or a heat lamp?

Thanks for the idea. I’ve just done myself a Virginia plug with 25 grams of yellow VA shag rolly tobacco. It is a terrible smoke in a pipe when unpressed as it burns too hot and too fast. Pressed however its a wonderful, slow, flavoursome smoke. The subtle liquorice casing has disappeared as well.

I highly recommend grabbing a noodle press and having some fun if you’re that way inclined as an easy way to get into making your own flakes and crumble cakes.

Cheers

Tim
