Man, this thread went south in a hurry! Falconer, I have several clay and/or porcelain pipes, including some double-walls. One of my favorites is a double-walled Dutch calabash shape that I ordered from the old Troost brochure (remember that?); has the Troost pipe-smoker-in-the-stocks logo on the front. The cork "gaskets" can be repaired/replaced very easily with some sheet cork, and bit of adhesive, and some sandpaper; I've even done it myself! The porcelain pipes are cool in that - like meerschaums - they take on a nice color over time, starting with a nice medium brown, darkening through to a deep brownish-purple. I also have a "mystery" pipe: it's a single wall porcelain with a scene on the front that isn't visable until the pipe colors.
