who has thrown that perfect rattle trap or crank bait right next to that perfect log after looking up at the perfect sunrise on a perfect morning out on the water hooked that perfect large mouth with you favorite tobacco in your favorite pipe

don't happen much but god bless the memories

share with my your favorite memory of fishing with dad or grandpa

Many years ago my dad and I were fishing from his boat on a small pond. He was tossing crank baits for bass and I was letting a dough ball soak on the bottom hoping to latch into a big carp on the ultra light rod I was using. As I was cranking in the dough ball it was wobbling really well and a two pound large mouth took it. Dad couldn't stop grinning and saying that he couldn't believe the luck some people had.

We later switched to worms to catch a mess of bluegills for supper. Blue gills were big in that pond and so were the snapping turtles. We had a stringer of gills tied to the bank and a big ole snapper ate half of one and had stared on another. Heck of a day.

brother ive been there lost fish while reeling them in to snappers and occasionally a alligator you think back after parents are gone and its a blessing to have the memories hahahaha :bounce:
