This is what P&C says about their tobacco of the week...

The latest re-release from Dunhill, their Ready-Rubbed starts out as sweet Virginias and fragrant Orientals. The superb leaf is lightly imbued with a soft fruit essence and is then heated, pressed and sliced in the classic Cavendish method. The result is a subtly sweet blend with pleasant gentle room-note that can be enjoyed at any time of day. If you enjoy a subtle aromatic, grab some before they disappear.

What's going on?

“Dunhill” isn’t re-releasing anything.  They are defunct...gone...kaput. Here’s my perspective: Another company has either gained licensing rights or something...or...someone has concocted a re-release blend that is a close or not so close homage to the original.  I don’t know if anyone is still using original recipes.  And don’t forget...many of the component tobaccos are no longer out there.

Think of it as a blend in and of itself.  If you get some, let us know what you think.

That's the latest rerelease. Meaning last year's or so. They just have stacks of stuff they didn't sell.

Found in the back of an abandoned warehouse...down by the river, under some musty old tarps.  An amazing discovery.  A thrilling find.  Hurry...don’t be left out.  Supplies are limited.

Where’s JR when you need him?

Very much the truth here. As much of a re-release as Balkan Sobranie.

That’s one of the remaining STG Dunhill’s that P&C still has in stock. The last to fall so to speak. A month ago they were still selling Durbar, which was a pretty fine Oriental mix.

I picked up, on a whim due to the pricing @ barely $7/tin, five DH Standard Mix Medium tins in March. I have beaucoup Murray's tins (multiple blends) sitting in the cellar. Appears P&C is just clearing the warehouse of the STG stuff. Even if someone else picks up the brand and truly "re-releases" them again, I'm done. Have all I can ever use!! FTRPLT
