Stick...Bloody good show, old man!! Raise a few pints at your "local." A well-earned degree; congratulations on a job well done  FTRPLT
Hey, thanks awfully old chap. As it happens I had a few in the pub last night. I don't think it's sunk in properly in yet; after 5 year's non stop study, to suddenly not have to read, write reports, assignments and dissertations, is a little weird. I just need another project now....!ftrplt":g0wjsbyn said:Stick...Bloody good show, old man!! Raise a few pints at your "local." I'm with ya', Stick!! I spent three years getting my Masters, working full time, family obligations, all the normal day-to-day stuff plus all the academic stuff. You've earned a "star' for your efforts :star: Enjoy the fruits of your hard work!! FTRPLTStick":qe30jt14 said:Hey, thanks awfully old chap. As it happens I had a few in the pub last night. That sounds a familiar story! Two young children, and both of us working full time and long hours. My standard day was up at 6.30, sort the children for school / nursery and out the door for 7.30. Start work at 7.55, and finish at 17.00. By the time the children were in bed and we'd eaten, house admin, it was 21.00. Study for 2 hours (sometimes more). Bed at 23.00. And repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat x 5 years. Yes, I'm pretty proud of that. Just looking at putting it all to good use now by applying for lecturing jobs in unis. Fingers crossed!ftrplt":yz6gmhl4 said:I'm with ya', Stick!! I spent three years getting my Masters, working full time, family obligations, all the normal day-to-day stuff plus all the academic stuff.
