Well, the piece of Rainbow Poplar burl I posted back in January finally dried out and I had a chance to finish turn it. I used a friction polish on this one because I noticed (with Rainbow Poplar) that other finishes turn the purples more of a brown color. I wanted to keep all of the colors in this one intact. So anyway, here's the results. It's 7-3/4 x 1-1/2.

Unfortunately no. Too soft of a wood. Too bad though, it would make a cool looking pipe. Thanks.
