And so another legend passes! Dick Dale king of the Surf Guitar is gone at the age of 81. He was still touring to try and cover his medical expenses. What a trooper he was.

One of my heroes. I suspect Brewdude as well (who has his own surf guitar album!).
I saw him a few years ago at the Birchmere in Virginia. He stuck around to chat with fans and sign autographs. He signed my copy of Checkered Flag and was very friendly, but a bit more so perhaps with y wife! Who fills these shoes?
