And before we buckle down to final mission prep, let me tell you all how exciting and rewarding your response has been. You all know how strongly I believe in doing good things for others. This just shows that I’m not alone. And this benevolent community of do-gooders is poised on the brink of laying some poor sod way way low...into a flaming bomb crater about a mile deep and wide...the mental image of which warms the cockles of my heart.

After lengthy and serious deliberation I have selected my ordinance and the ground crew has secure the deadly cargo into our bomb bay. Now we begin the line item by line item pre-flight checklist.

Given current weather predictions we have selected Wednesday as the most likely launch day. This could change however if ground surveillance reports any unexpected events or conditions or if weather changes suggest launching the day prior.

No sightings or indirect evidence suggests espionage activities in the specific or surrounding areas. Current conditions appear to be normal for the target.

We are Condition GREEN. We are GO for mission launch in 5 days.

I am taking great care in selecting an appropriate launch day and time.  The distribution curve shown above has been plotted using data fron the past six months. Numbers represent the percentage in tens (1 = 10%, 5 = 50%, etc.) of bomb loads being dropped on that day, starting on the day before the actual assigned mission day. Let’s try our best to bring the percentage for the correct day up as high as we can, pilots. Nuff said.

Gotta roll out the big dog for this one. Crew chiefs have it all prepped and ready to go. Munitions being loaded now, will be ready for a full moon flight.
