Among my rotation I have and smoke a beautiful Roermond pipe that I inherited from my father. He smoked this lightly about 35 years ago. It smokes beautifully and has one of the most comfortable fish-tail bits that I have ever had the pleasure to use.

Anyone else have a Roermond? Anyone know the history or company status? Any info would be appreciated.

Just got one from ebay and it smokes great. Research says they are related to the big ben company. Mine has same symbol in stem as big ben pipes.

Roermond is Dutch made by the Royal Dutch Pipe Factory (Gubbels). They also make/made Big Ben and Amphora pipes.

Here is a link to RDPF's most known brand - Big Ben.

I can see why there is confusion between the Danes and the Dutch. Both start with "d" and both eat herring.
