So what ever happened to your rope experiment? Did SP make good? I was interested to hear your take on the SG Brown #4. I had tried that along with XX Twist and was not a fan. Just too meaty and smokey for my tastes.
I do enjoy the Peter Heinrichs Curly Block which is described by the mfg to be a rope. I cut thin coins with my swiss army knife and then cube cut it from there. It does take some drying time as it comes fairly moist.
They sent a replacement. It was a little dry too, but not nearly as bad. I thought it was ok. The happy bogey was ok too. I jarred them up and will revisit them in a year or so. They weren't bad, but they didn't wow me either.
