I do what RG does; 2 ounce jars...and they seem to work well. I have had Squadron Leader, and really like it. Enjoy!

So 250 grams is just shy of 9 ounces. I can see placing it in two separate containers of 4 ounces each and giving it a smoosh. With the expansion once it is unpacked what size jar(s) should I be purchasing?

I get the small jelly jars and load 50 grams per jar. You could get a couple of 8 ounce jars and split the box between them.

I do the same thing. However, I pack the small jars with tobacco then microwave them for about ten seconds. Immediatley after removing them from the microwave I put the lid on. As they cool the vacuum pulls the cap tight. In twenty years of doing this I've never had a bad jar.
