Mine has some age on it, and it came from a 250g box not a tin. Very well rounded smoke, smokey latakia doesn't overwhelm the nutty essence of the turkish or the sweetness of the virginias. Im glad to see this blend get the attention it deserves here on the board. I advise stocking up on it while its still available on pipes and cigars . c o m.

As Tim says, it ages very nicely

I was first introduced to SQ in the Secret Santa at the old Knox board in 2003. It was wonderful. I stocked up a fair amount. But at some point several blends from both houses of Gawith changed and I don't find them as good as I once did. I am hoping that some of the leaf that they used in the past will once again become available and they will be great again.

SG has taken a lot of flack about the decline in tobacco quality over the years. I've only tried recent stuff 2008 and newer and I have but one complaint, it's so damn hard to get my hands on it.
