Dunhill makes a lot of beautiful group 2 size pipes that are quite attractive.

There were about eight hundred bazillion group 2-3 sized pipes made well into the 1950s.
Ever since bigger became better, these have often gone pretty cheaply.
A clean-up, detox & (optional) new stem, and you're on your way.

Beetle, of my four 80S models, only one (a p-lip pre-republic from the late 1930s--big sucker, too) I can't use a cleaner no matter what I do. The rest are tricky, but you can get a cleaner to the bowl. Fortunately they don't usually need it unless there's an actual obstruction.

Not sure this is what you mean, but --
I have a Pete Killarney 150. It has a P-lip, but takes a cleaner w/out even a tick. 5.5". The bowl is forefinger, not thumb size. Good for an hour, more or less. Perfect size for transporting in the breast pocket of your jacket.
