Two things which are helpful to my smoking;packing the bowl with a
thick pipe cleaner in place to avoid strangling the airway and Nording
Keystones when I have some on hand.The keystones give an airpocket
and also a moisture absorbtion at the bottom of the bowl.
What really is disgusting is to have a bowl of quality weed that has hit
"The Zone" and is just singing and have it clog up on me due to wet dottle. :x

I typically use what's basically the Frank method, unless I'm going to be smoking a smaller bowl. I typically only use my Zippo pipe lighter or matches when wind permits. I try not to use a torch on my pipes, but my one friends uses one of my pipes and uses a torch on it after many suggestions not to. I hardly smoke that pipe though, so I don't mind that the top is charred and will probably burn out.
