I wish it were true, Lonecoyote. Alas, there is a sub-species with especially UNbrilliant minds that is all too well known, and all too populous...much to the detriment of mankind. They're often unwilling to find honest, productive work, so they run for elected office. :x

You misread my intent. I'm not attacking anyone. It was not my intention to advance any political agenda, or to deprecate any party, platform, or specific individual. That's what the Rubber Room is for. I'm not interested in sparking a political hatefest in which we all choose up sides, and have at it.

In fact, that's the problem. Politics as a whole is utterly divisive. Those who hate the current Prez will never give up that hatred, just as those who believe he can actually solve anything are unlikely to be convinced otherwise.

Until we all start to question the superstition that a system of legalized political coercion masquerading as government is capable of solving any of our problems, we're just going to have an endless succession of clowns whom some will love, some will hate, and the circus will continue to keep everyone distracted while nothing changes.

No, wait...that's not quite true; things will get worse. They can't NOT get worse. That's the natural consequence of a system that is fundamentally corrupt in the first place. The Prez can't fix it; he (or she) is part of the problem...no matter who gets elected.

Not quite the same level of "contact", but I was working a high school soccer game back in 2011 and the teem with a free kick planned a "diversion", which worked to score the goal.

I'm just out of the frame, in the lower right, level with the second last defender.  I was the AR on the attacking side, and after the goal, I remember the Center Ref looking at me with that look of, "what the hell just happened, and was the attacker off side?"  I ran up the side indicating that there was no off sides and the goal was good.  

The three of us discussed the plan after the game, and the center ref could have called off the goal as unsportsmanlike like conduct, but decided not to.
