This Persian slipper that Holmes had nailed to his mantle, Has anyone ever seen it displayed in any of the episodes, or any photos of the object?

I recall in a couple of the Basil Rathbone versions, Holmes walking with a pipe in hand to the fireplace and retrieving something. The something was not clearly a slipper, but the inference was that it contained tobacco. As I recall, he never loaded the pipe due to some distraction/breakthrough in the case. I have always assumed that this was the famous Persian slipper.

I'm sorry, I can't remember just which episodes these actions occurred in.

I may be recalling wrong but I thought the slipper was where Holmes stored his "Dottle"?

I understand that the slipper retained the foot aroma of its original Persian owner, which was tantamount to Mixture 79 casing.

Holmes stored his infamous Black Shag in the illustrious Persian slipper, while his dottle was simply left on the mantle to dry for the next morning, if I recall correctly.

I have just watched The Woman In Green with Basil Rathbone.....In it you see Holmes fill up his pipe from the persian slipper which does indeed live upon the mantle.....gotta get me one.
