I've written a lot of business plans in my day and this one has my head scratching. What was he trying to solve? Who is his market with an $800 price tag? I'm at a loss. I know if the CFO (my wife) allowed me to drop $800 on my pipe habit I would have one hell of a cellar and make some tobacconists day.

According to Vollmer & Nilsson, who helped the with the internals so it would smoke as well as it could, Stiff is aiming at the high fashion market rather than traditional pipe smokers. They launched their product at the Tokyo Fashion Week and got a lot of buzz.

We shall see what happens.

Oh bullocks, Mr. Artisan Pipe. :p :p :p

By "younger set" you must mean those with huge disposable incomes and what I affectionately call "new toy syndrome," buying something and it sitting and collecting dust within a week.

I like it when low fashion comes back into style and suddenly I'm fashionable again
