People ask me all the time why I moved to western ND, and this pretty well sums it up. It's like this for hundreds of miles in every direction.

This particular pic was shot some distance south of here---it isn't out my back door, and I didn't take it---but go to the edge of town and you can't tell the difference.

Great pic LL. Many years ago I passed through western ND on a motorcycle tour and remember the endless plains stretching in every direction to the horizons.

The famous "Miles and miles of miles and miles" ! :D

All it needs now is bison

:face:

From wiki:

Anti-corporate laws were passed that virtually prohibited a corporation or bank from owning title to land zoned as farmland. These laws, still in force today, after having been upheld by both State and Federal courts, make it almost impossible to foreclose on farmland, as even after foreclosure, the property title cannot be held by a bank or mortgage company. Thus, virtually every farm in existence today in North Dakota is still a "family-owned" farm. As a result, CBS News has reported that the state with the highest per capita percentage of millionaires is North Dakota.
Craps.... those banks and corporations could have used those "millions"...

gorgeous true, but those plains and prairies need to be a little flatter for my liking. 8)
