Looks like that's the best yet!! Are you eventually going to turn a bigger bowl? Isn't wood working/turning allot of fun. Now you also need to make a cross grain block cutting board. Have fun!!

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

The bridge of your nose is swollen. Feel better and be more careful.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Flying objects are the hazard of lathe work! :affraid: Be careful.

So, in your opinion did this bowl turn out good enough to sell. Looks like no errors from the pictures.

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

When you make that perfect bowl let me know. Might take a while but in time most of your turnings will be close to perfect. It's all about having fun with wood

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Face mask w perhaps a helmet. Stops shavings and bowls from reshaping your face.

Google "face mask lathe". One of the hits was an account of a larger item breaking free (like the plate). Poor guy ended up in the hospital.

Seriously: you were lucky.

ya i know thats no joke. i had to laugh it off tho but i do have a broken nose ill ne useing gear from now on.
