I wonder what statement he was making with it.

I think it was along the lines of: Somebody send me $1595.00

I see it as little more than a gimmick. I am guessing a $10K carving machine and a laser engraver. I am not saying that to denigrate. He does possess a talent. But its is more along the lines of Warhol's later works doing something that's past its original impact.
