This Morta is like a dream

I posted before that I fell in love with this pipe when I first saw photos of it. The bowl is Morta with three distinct colors, golden, chocolate and black. The bowl appears to be floating off the Beechwood shaft

Made from Morta and Beech from Germany by Pipemaker Manfred Hortig I'm keeping it smokey with Wessex Campaign.

Ditto, loved it the first time, love it even more the second time.

I've got to admit, I've never thought about acquiring a morta pipe, but seeing all the beautiful ones you have, plus the fact that you seem to get as much pleasure from keeping them smokey as from those of briar (or cob, for that matter), I am now seriously thinking about taking the plunge and seeking out a quality morta pipe.

After all, I certainly need a new reason to buy another dozen or so pipes asap! (YIKES! I wish that were a joke.............................)
