Lightnin' Hopkins....one of the best Blues singers of our time. Just my opinion.

Stevie Nicks or Pat Benatar?

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Stevie my favorite also and agree a bit spacey!!!

Miles Davis

Mazda MX-5. I owned a 2009 ( metalflake red ) high end sound system ....BOSE...and rare factory turbo, very limited edition. Only 3,500 made World Wide, 200 with Factory turbo. Mine had the certificate and plate #555 on the front of the center console. An outstanding/well crafted roadster. Handled much better once I removed the Michelin's ( never cared for Michelin tires ) and replaced them with Kumho All Weather tires. Sold the car in April of 2012, once I became ill and was hospitalized for a while and New I would be returning!!

Old Hot Rods or New Muscle Cars?

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Old hot rods. Love to have a '70 Plymouth Roadrunner Superbird like this-

Clapton or SRV?

Rande, you have great taste and chose a real beauty. I actually remember that car model and color. In 1996 I restored a 1968 Pontiac Firebird. Street raced many a time and flat bedded to many shows. Won some trophies also. Was a project that took me just over 3.5 years, but time well spent. I need to find some pictures to post. It was a show stopper!!

Clapton
Was never a Stevie Ray Vaughan fan

Neil Diamond or Neil Young?

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Mick.....maybe because of his lips....lol

One hit wonders:

Adam Ant ( Goody Two Shoe's ) or Lee Michael's ( Do You Know What I Mean )???

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Lee Michaels, but not for that throwaway AM pos. His first album showed him to be a very competent B3 soloist and one I found wonderful (wish I still had it). Just him and a drummer iirc. Guess he needed a commercial hit to pay the bills!

David Bowie or Prince?

Totally agree how you described Lee Michael's. Most don't have a clue!

David Bowie......without a doubt

Phil Collins or Freddie Mercury?

As for me I have a favorite........but after you sir

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

My opinion....NOT EVEN CLOSE....Freddie Mercury!!!!

Striped Bass

Rande, Your response to my last question?

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Never got into Queen and Freddy Mercury. I was on another mission back then Ted, and was wrapped up in prog. That was the period I embraced Tull as my primary influence and it lasted for years.

These days, I can appreciate what Freddy brought to the table. But still not a "fan" in the strictest sense.

In fact, my studio engineer semi-recently showed me a pirated studio track of "Bohemian Rhapsody" where all of the original tracks were revealed. One could then listen to them individually, and Freddy's vox were without flaw.

And this was back in the day of pre-digital recording. All done on 2" 24-track tape. He sang flawlessly, and I was suitable impressed!

All to say, ya I came away with a new found respect for his vocal contributions. But still don't have any great fondness for Queen. Call it heresy or whatever, but there it is!

:!:

Sandford and Sons or The Jeffersons?

I had the pleasure of hearing Freddie sing with no instrumental back up, no vocal back up or digital enhancement of any kind. I was deeply impressed by his voice.

Also was a follower of the multi talented Ian Anderson. A Scotsman that had a tremendous voice all on his own, but had the capability to make the flute he played...SING!!

Sanford and Son...the star Redd Foxx...Foxx was his stage name. His true last name was Sanford.

Laverne and Shirley or The Odd Couple?

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

Julie Neumar.....she's 5' 11"......as Don Rickles would say..." you grab her by the legs and dust ".....lol

Julia Roberts or Jennifer Aniston

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!

SEAL or SBS?......neither
Delta Force JSOC

Army, Navy, Air Force or Marines?

KEEP ON PUFFING!!!
