I rub it out some, dry it out some & gently roll up 3-4 small balls & puck it in
I do not let this one go out as it is a terrible DGT to me anyways[

I just noticed your avatar. Turn your pipe up as this helps a lot also

quote="decaf"]Jeffya2 and Trout Bum - I see you list University Flake as a favorite. I've been working on a tin recently and just haven't been able to get it to behave. I've tried different pipes, different ways packing, and different degrees of drying.

Is there something I'm missing?

And... Happy holidays to all![/quote]

For years, when smoking other tobaccos, I found myself comparing them to FVF and looking forward to my next bowl of FVF. Finally, I quit delaying the inevitable, and now my top 5 tobaccos are:

1- 5 year or older tinned FVF
2- 5 year or older bulk FVF
3- 1 year or older tinned FVF
4- 1 year or older bulk FVF
5- FVF of any age or type

I don't see any consistency in your tobacco preferences either JT

What's the deal :?:

LOL, PD and kilted! Yeah, I'm just a Hal o' the Wynd, I guess.

You know, after settling down with FVF, I found that my pipes were then all over the place. I've probably got 30 to 40 pipes that I need to list on eBay because I never smoke the old English blend pipes anymore and some of the pipes I have just don't lend themselves well to straight Virginia tobacco. Maybe after I get my income tax done this week, I'll break out the digital camera and try to recover a few bucks on eBay.... if I get some good bids, maybe I'll feel a little less morose over being screwed by Uncle Sam again this year. :gatewheel:
