That is a Larryson Christmas Pipe for 2012 it was the last pipe out of Paul's shop last year.

If you mean the oxidized stems I just don't have it in me to remove the past spirits within, I think of it as natural patina, I clean it but don't remove it.
 
Sorry if it sounded disrespectful; wasn't meant to be. I just meant that a lot of my stems are oxidized too!

Not at all, never took it as disrespectful. I figured I'd give my reason for not removing it, lots of folks would never leave them like that but I find it enhances the pipe especially when it really ages it begins to show a pattern. Fly reels from the Golden Age had hard rubber faces and it would be considered a sacrilege to clean the patina on them since most collectors would think something horrible happened to the reel and the plate was either replaced or not original. Different strokes as they say. :)
