Some heavy snow is coming... 100% chance sez the NOAA forecast. And the leaves are still on the trees.

The chipper crews will be getting some overtime.

I hope the power lines don't come down. :x

I don't know about the rest of the country but as wet as its been here I'm predicting the 'every 4 years' insane snow...

I put my house here in Northern Illinois up for sale last week,
hoping to retire when it sells and move South to Va. before the
snows come. :)

Winslow :sunny:

It's moments like this, I am grateful to reside in the Southwest (could you really consider Oklahoma southwest? It's not really south, nor west. It seems more like the middle child of the United States, almost smack dab in the center.)

What is this snow you speak of? :darklord:
It's there on the second shelf. See it? A little in from the left... right next to hurricanes. :darklord: :darklord:

I found a picture of the EXTREMELY rare Texas Snowman, so rare in fact they are usually captured and preserved

Hey, Irene, my son lives in Norman, (and works for the Severe Storms Prediction Center), but his wife is from Ada. I live a tad northwest of ya in central Kansas. But, LL, we Kansans & Oklahomans most certainly get snow just not in the prodigious amounts you Northern Plainsers do.

I actually perform in Norman from time to time, at a Gelato shoppe and also at a bar not too far from OU. And I have family in Lawrence, KS. :) It is such a small world.

100% That sucks. We've got snow on the forecast for later on in the week. It's just been raining here, and hovering around +10 C.

Spent the day installing a new thermostat in my car so that it'll actually heat up this winter... :)

They say it is going to be a rather snow-less winter with some kind of El-Nino affecting the continent. Me, I like snow in the winter. That's what we have furnaces, parkas and snow tires for. The brilliant light the morning after a snowfall makes it all worthwhile.
