Hello, brothers --

Just wondering if there is a vitamin and/or herb regimen that you take daily as the result of being a pipe smoker?

Viagra and Cialis, both double doses. :face: nope, never thought of taking vitamins to compensate for pipe smoking

:D LOL! With that dosage, you ought to at least take 1 vitamin C.

If you eat right, then vitamins are a waste of time. Herbs are a little different then vitamins. An herb regimen should be customized to the individual, at least according to the herbalist types I know.

No amount of herbs or vitamins is gonna help much if your stuffing hyperprocessed food imitation product in your tummy everyday and washing it down with soda while sitting behind a desk all day, only getting up to take a smoke break. Not sayin' you do that or anything, just sayin' is all.

I checked out MisterE's suggested site, and of course, it recommends the traditional course of vitamins and antioxidants.

What about oral health? Any special procedures? Anyone get their teeth cleaned 3 or 4 times per year?

There´s a lot of juju you can do. Rinsing with salt water, mouthwash, or brushing after every smoke. The alcohol in mouthwash has been known to actually aggravate oral cancer according to some sources however. I think the more you worry about it the more likely you subconciously provoke symptoms.

I ain´t saying pipe smoking is risk free and there are no side effects. Only that moderation and regular checkups are a good way to keep in touch with oral health.

I think just being good about brushing is probably your best bet between visits. And eating right... with exersise.... yes, we´ve all heard it.... I will shut up now...

I get my teeth cleaned 4 times a year, but I was doing that before I even started smoking the pipe. Otherwise I rinse my mouth with some Biotene mouthwash after smoking, mostly because the smoke dries my mouth.

I've thought about this before, and I do believe it may very well be true. I guess that's what they mean by "keep thinkin' the good thoughts!"

I have increased my number of teeth cleanings to 3 times per year at $125 per pop.

I recently purchased non-alcohol Biotene, Crest, and Act mouthwash brands, just to try them. They're all good-tasting, but I have a preference for the Biotene. Seems a little more soothing.
