VRA Communter Rail/MARC/Amtrak

In regards to the the D.C. Area, have any of the brothers ever utilized the rail service?

Only for piggy-backing a car to Florida. Union station is cool.

I used to use the BWI station to get to NYC, its pretty reliable. Where are you starting from?

I'm just curious if they keep the local stuff clean, on the outside.


I traded around a little and picked up this VRE set and I don't know if it needs to have some dirt thrown on it or if they spit shine them.

I'm just barely old enough to remember the Rainbow Line, when Amtrak was using old coaches from various consolidated passenger lines. I was really little then and would need a porter or conductor to hold my hand crossing between cars because none of them quite fit together properly.
