My wife caught me off guard in the basement just now and was sharing the recent news: Hugh Hefner age 84, is marrying his 4th wife, age 24 (and although I haven't seen a picture of her yet, with or without cloths on, I'm guessing she's not a dog?). She was grousing about it and stopped me half way up the steps, looked me straight in the eyes, and said: "what's wrong with this picture?".

The answer I gave without a moments hesitation, "it's Hugh and not me?" is not the right answer. If cornered with the same question by your SWMBO, DO NOT answer this way! It will hurt.

I should be out of traction soon and the stitches shouldn't leave too much of a scar.

I hope you were wearing your protective cup. When our fathers told us about using protection with women they weren't just talking about condoms......

Honesty really does have its place in a relationship.
Seems that wasn't the right place or time for it in this instance!

Oh my Natch.. I can almost see the look on your face.. And at the same time thinking why did I say that... I mentioned the article to my wife tonight.. But it was in a tone of can you believe that ? She really did not say anything back that was not a mumble to me.. I dare say she will not have to worry about the rent.. I would find a few honey due's to take care of if I were you.. Wishing a fast recovery for you my friend.. :p
Chuck..

,,,,of course this situation calls for a heartfelt apology with a thoughtful gift and make up sex,,,,,but then again asking her to apologize starts the cycle all over again

Hmmm....... Christmas eve my sons and sons-in-law were enjoying a few :drunken: . I asked them if they would would like Faith Hill as a step-mother. They absolutely had no objections. Of course, there was :drunken: and no women's ears present...

I read an article recently that touched on this subject. Studies were done on males and females who were middle or lower middle class who had become successful in a relatively short period of time.

What they found was that the more successful a male becomes, the more he tends to prefer dating younger women.

What they found with the women in the study is that the more successful a female becomes, the more she wants to date good looking men who are older than herself.

My guess is that it all goes back to who will produce the best offspring even in situations where making a baby is not going to be considered.

Why do I usually prefer younger women? Because they can be lazy, eat fast food, never exercise, and smoke and drink all they want, and you can still bounce a quarter off their tummy. :bounce:

The question is a loaded one anyway. Just like the "Does this dress make me look fat" question. lol

That's funny, but in my marriage there is a double standard. If I'd said something like that, I'd be in a dog house for a few days. However, she-who-must-be-obeyed generally jokes and asks people if certain rich men they talk about are "single."

Of course, I just give the required grimace, because I know she's joking, but can you imagine if you said that?

What if you and you're friends were talking about a good looking, rich, older woman, and you asked (in front of your wife) "is she single?"

I bet I'd hear the slap all the way down here in the Carolinas. Ha!
